Teen & Adult Dogs
Practical Dog Training for Teen & Adult Dogs: Calmness, Manners & Real-Life Obedience
Calm, Focused, and able to take them anywhere
Whether you're living with a wild teenage dog or an adult who never quite learned the rules, you're not alone—and you're not stuck.
Our teen & adult dog training is designed to bring structure, calm, and real-life results to dogs who are older than puppies but still full of energy (and sometimes chaos).
We focus on the skills that matter most:
Calmly walking on a leash without pulling - even with distractions
Polite greetings with dogs and people
Listening the first time you ask them
Building impulse control and obedience
Coming back when called
A calm mindset at home, on walks and out in the world
Dealing with problem behaviours?
I can help!
I work with dogs who struggle with
Leash reactivity
Aggression towards dogs or people
Resource guarding
Seperation Anxiety
Barking, chewing, digging,
Pulling on leash
And more
I’ll help you understand the why behind the behaviour, and give you the tools to change it—with support and honesty every step of the way.
What Does Training With Me Look Like?
Every dog is different—and so is every training session.
When you book the Starter Training Package or my Better Behaved Dog Package with me, you’re not getting a cookie-cutter obedience plan. You’re getting a tailored, practical training experience that fits your lifestyle, your dog, and your goals.
I come to your home (or meet you where you are having problems)
We focus on what matters most to you
You get practical, easy to follow homework after each session
I'll send follow up emails, handouts and guides to keep you on track
Engagement - Teaching your dog to pay attention even around distractions
Loose Leash Walking
Door Manners - Politely waiting around doors
Recall Foundations - Teaching your dog to come back
Place Training - To help settle your dog
Impulse Control - Building patience so your dog can make better choices
Perfect. If your main issue is something like pulling on leash, rude greetings, or barking at the window, we’ll create a focused plan just for that. We don't have to follow the framework (although we always cover parts of it). I believe there’s no point wasting time on skills you don’t need or won't use.
You’ll walk away with real results, not just generic advice.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining existing behaviours, your training plan will be 100% customised, clear, and designed to actually work in your daily life.

Contact & Book

Easy!
1. Fill out the contact form above the FAQ, tell me about your puppy, challenges and your goals. This helps me recommend the best fit! We choose the best program together. No hard sells, just a honest conversation about what will help you and your puppy thrive long term.
From there we will look at both our schedules and availability so we can start training.
I come to you for private sessions and we train in and around your neighborhood, exactly where you will want to work on problems and have success.
For Puppy Day School I will pick your pup up and work from my home in Gulf Harbour or anywhere around the Hibiscus Coast.
You can start training as early as 8 weeks old with the most basic things. The earlier you begin, the easier it is to prevent bad habits and set your pup up for success. I like to start pups around 8-10 weeks old.
Yes! I run a variety of group classes, including structured puppy school programs.
Check the Group Classes tab for upcoming start dates, locations, and details on what each class includes. Spots are limited, so early booking is recommended!
It really depends on your dog, your goals, and the situation. I’m a balanced trainer, which means I use a mix of positive reinforcement and fair corrections tailored to each dog’s needs. For puppies everything is taught with positive reinforcement and corrections are rarely needed, besides using a leash to redirect them away from something that may be dangerous to them.
I cover the Hibiscus Coast area
Gulf Harbour to Orewa & Milldale
North Shore
Warkworth & Snells Beach
Riverhead & Coatesville
I charge an $8 drive out fee per session for any clients outside of the Hibiscus Coast area.
West Auckland and Central Auckland on request and only outside peak traffic hours.
Groupclasses are held in Silverdale & Warkworth
I offer private training sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Group classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, with a special reactive dog class on Saturday mornings.
To find a time that suits you best, we usually coordinate availability together via email.
Puppy Foundations is a 6-session starter plan. The Growing Pup Program offers more support and includes Day School. The Complete Puppy Program is our full-year transformation with everything included. We’ll help you choose the best fit - Just fill in the contact form or do the Quiz on the homepage.
If you start with Puppy Foundations and decide you want to go deeper, we’ll credit part of your payment toward a larger package.
Absolutely! In fact, I encourage it. Everyone who interacts with your puppy should be on the same page for faster results. I do prefer it if the adult takes charge and learns the methods first and the kids can learn after you had a go yourself.
